I have to apologize for not keeping up with the blog this year. It became very difficult to keep up with my schedule. I'm going to start it back up again and take measures to keep it leaner than before. This way I can hopefully keep up with it better than I had before. Each blog will include the music lineup, links to purchase the CDs, and a quick couple of sentences describing the show.

I'm going to start in December and hopefully gain steam into 2010. Thanks for tuning in to FILM SCORE FOCUS

Catchin' Up On the 'Ol Blog

Greetings! I have to apologize. The blog has been grossly out of date for many months. I had pretty much left the planet from January until early March working on the score for ARTOIS THE GOAT (2009) which premiere at SXSW here in Austin last March. It's taken just about every scrap of time I could muster in order to just get the shows done each week. For that, the blog has suffered and I am sorry for that. I'm going back through and doing my very best to try to catch up.

I'll try to do a handful a week until things get caught up. I won't expound upon each show like I normally would but I'll at least get the playlists up and links to the CDs for your reference. Hopefully I won't get this behind again. Thank you for your understanding and appreciate for the program!

Sorry folks. I've been absent from the blog these past few weeks. I had a major scoring project that I had been working on since June 30th and I just wrapped it up a few days ago. I'll spend the next several days trying catch up on the blog posts. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the shows!

The end of the year is rapidly approaching and to cap it off I have planned a very special edition of FILM SCORE FOCUS that I need your help to program.

ATTENTION! CALLING ALL LISTENERS!
What are your favorite scores of 2007?

For the last show of the year I have decided to compile a program featuring your favorite film music from 2007. I'd like to ask you to email me at brian@filmscorefocus.org and let me know what your favorite scores of the year are. You can list one, or three, or however many tickled your fancy this year. There really is no limit. If you list a bunch be sure to rank your top three. I'll then compile a program of scores that appear the most from everybody's collective emails.

Can't remember what scores came out in 2007? Look it up on IMDB.com.

On Vacation

After a bustling summer schedule I'm finally taking a well needed family vacation in the great state of Missouri. I won't be able to post this week's show details but when I get back to Austin next week it'll be on the top of my list of things-to-do.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the program this week. It's a roundup of brand new film scores released in the last several months including HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX (2007), THE SIMPSONS MOVIE (2007) and my favorite score of the year so far, RATATOUILLE (2007) to name a few.

More iPod Running Music

In the spirit of last week's program entitled Brian's iPod Running Mix (airdate: 06/30/07), I decided to list a few more scores that I include on my mix that I wasn't able to fit onto the program. I've been getting quite a few emails from listeners who really enjoyed the program and took the suggestions to heart. Several have mentioned to me that they'll be placing some of the pieces I played last week on their own iPod running mix.
